What is Into the Deep all about?

INTO the DEEP is a 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of facilitating true understanding of our identity, reason for being, and dignity as body-soul persons made in the  image of God.  This is accomplished through speaking engagements, teaching seminars, study groups, and both indoor and outdoor retreats.

SPEAKING + TEACHING SEMINARSFrom 2002 onward Jen has been presenting to a wide variety of audiences about the basic catechesis behind the Theology of the Body – applying it to and teaching others how to explain who we are as persons, what it means to love, and how these both impact our actions.  Audiences have included grade school children, teens, Confirmation students, college students, engaged couples, parents, educators, diocesan employees, NFP instructors and crisis pregnancy counselors.   Click here to see a list of basic topics and here for upcoming events.

STUDY GROUPS are held evenings (7-9 pm) in the 3rd floor meeting room of the office building where Into the Deep resides.  Ongoing Monday night studies are on the original texts of John Paul II: Man and Woman He Created Them and Love and Responsibility. These studies take from one to two school-years to complete; check the calendar for dates!

RETREATS:  Though Into the Deep also offers indoor retreats, bringing the Theology of the Body discussion outside has an impact that is hard to parallel.  Utilizing both state and national park lands, I.D. Retreats bring the unique mission and vision of Into the Deep out to a setting we were made for.  Explore why the great outdoors serves as such an ideal retreat setting, how to set up a customized retreat, and the calendar of upcoming retreats for middle school ladies, high school students, and adults!
